VANCOUVER, BC- May 23, 2014- After years of stand-up, Vancouver comic Garrett Clark is releasing a full length comedy album entitled “Boner Comedian” on May 26, which will be available on iTunes and on his website.
UPDATE: “Boner Comedian” was slated to release on May 26, but it
came prematurely! Available NOW, get it from Clark’s website HERE!!!
From headlining Toronto’s Yuk Yuk’s, to competing in the prestigious Seattle International Comedy Competition, Clark’s jokes have been making people laugh since the early age of 17. Fast-forward 10 years later, the young comedian has since shared the stage with comedy veterans such as Russell Peters, Jamie Kennedy, Harland Williams, and most recently he embarked on a U.S tour with Bryan Callen (Mad TV, Sex and the City, and The Hangover).
Like many musicians, Clark wanted to perform new material, but wanted to preserve the jokes that he’s shared and loved for years. He compiled his comedy on an album for fans to take home and enjoy.
“I am very excited to be releasing my first album,” says Clark. “It’s hard to retire jokes because you feel proud of them and you don’t want them to be forgotten. In releasing an album, it is documented and available forever and now I can move forward with a clean slate.”
Clark is constantly on tour, with upcoming dates in Vancouver on May 22-24 opening for Iliza Shlesinger at Yuk Yuk’s, and will be on Vancouver Island the first week of June. Clark has also been invited to perform at this year’s North By North East (NXNE) Festival in Toronto.
Starting his comedy career at the tender age of 15, Garrett Clark has had the opportunity to dabble in a few of its many different forms. With a repertoire that includes improv, sketch, and television hosting, Garrett is more comfortable on stage than anywhere else, allowing for an unpredictable and dynamic show.
Although he speaks a bit funny, he does consider himself a Canadian comic…just a bit confused. Being Canadian born, but Australian raised, Garrett is able to bring a very unique angle to his comedy (that of a vegemite eating hockey fan) and in turn, is proving to be one of Canada’s fastest rising stars. Frequently touring from Hawaii to Halifax, and from Sydney to St. John’s, Garrett has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in comedy and makes people laugh nearly half the time!
After seeing Garrett Clark, you will be left both delighted, and questioning his mental stability.
